Learn which current WWE star helped train her, who her dream match would be against, what she does when she is not wrestling and so much more in this exclusive interview!

At what age did you begin watching wrestling?
AM: I’ve been watching wrestling since I could remember, but if I were to think about an age I would say since 4.

When did you know that you wanted to become a wrestler?
AM: I’ve wanted to be a wrestler since I was little, however, it wasn’t until 3 years ago when I finally made the decision to go for it.

Where did you begin your training and who did you train with?
AM: I trained at Highspots in Charlotte, NC under George South and Cedric Alexander.

How long have you been in the business?
AM: I’ve been in wrestling for about 5 years doing background stuff, but I’ve been actively wrestling for 2 years.

Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business?
AM: I look up to my fiancee Cedric of course, but I also look up to Lita, Jackie, Sojo and anyone else who had the courage to lace up.

What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song?
AM: I usually come out to Queen of the Night by Whitney Houston because I am a huge Whitney fan (God rest her soul), but also The Bodyguard is one of my favorite movies. So this song is like an anthem to me. The lyrics define me “I’ve got the stuff that you want, I’ve got the things that you need.”

What is the name of your finishers?
AM: Well, my ripcord elbow is called Dirty Dancing and my Superkick is the SuperBitch.

What have you learned about yourself in your journey of becoming a wrestler?
AM: I haven’t learned anything new about myself because going into this I already knew myself however, I will say that I’ve learned lots about other people.

What has been your favorite part of your career so far?
AM: My favorite part about my career so far is meeting all new people especially my NC crew, they give me so much joy.

Who would your dream match be against?
AM: My dream opponent would be Mickie James, she is a friend of mine I met prior to wrestling and since becoming a wrestler, I’ve always wanted to have a real match with her outside of the casual rolling around.

Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day?
AM: I would like to work Rachael Ellering and Nikki Savoy, I adore both of these ladies inside and outside of the ring. When you talk about warm hearted passionate people I think of these two ladies.

What are some of your goals for 2017?
AM: My number one goal is to make myself a household name, of course get into NXT, and just have more fun.

Favorite cheat meal? Type of music? Type of movies?
AM: Food? That’s my favorite subject lol. My go to cheat meal is a slice of Publix cake, their fried chicken and a Hawaiian sweet roll. My favorite type of music is smooth jazz, I could listen to it all day especially Sade, she’s the best. My favorite type of movie is comedy, give me a movie that makes me laugh over anything.

What is something that not many people know about you?
AM: Most people don’t know that I spend most of my time reading, my nose is stuck in a book or on my kindle most of the day into the night.

Favorite place that you have wrestled so far?
AM: My favorite place I’ve wrestled would be at Monday Night Raw, it’s very exciting!

Bucket list of places you want to wrestle?
AM: I would like to wrestle at Stardom,  AAW, Shimmer, WSU, Rev Pro & Beyond just to name a few.

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t wrestling?
AM: I enjoy being with Cedric and our daughter. There is nothing more satisfying than enjoying those moments.

Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling, I would be doing…
AM: Nothing, but enjoying life as a mother to an incredibly smart almost three year old! Stay at home mom all the way.

Any words for your fans?
AM: I would like to say thank you for the support you guys and gals. I appreciate you all and heres to a whole lot more trouble we can get into this year. #MelaninIsPoppin
