Welcome to another edition of Turnbuckle Talk. Today we are featuring an up and coming woman who is based in California, Ashley Grace!

 

Learn about who she has trained with, who she would like to wrestle one day, which NFL team she supports and much more by reading our interview below.

At what age did you begin watching wrestling? 
AG: I began wrestling at 18.
When did you know that you wanted to become a wrestler? 
AG: I knew I wanted to be a wrestler when I was around 12 or 13 years old.
Where did you begin your training and who did you train with? 
AG: I trained at SoCal Pro Wrestling in Escondido, California. My trainers were Tommy Wilson, Ricky Mandel, Anchors Away, Ryan Kidd and SoCal Crazy.
How long have you been in the business? 
AG: I have been in the business for about 2 and a half years. I started training in May of 2014 and debuted in October of 2014.
Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business? 
AG: I definitely look up to Tommy Wilson, SoCal Crazy, LuFisto and Hudson Envy.
What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song? 
AG: My entrance music is called “She Smiles” by Denosh Bennett. I chose this song because it’s very poppy, happy and fun. I am a very happy person and I smile a lot, haha. So, I chose a song that I felt like described me the best.


What have you learned about yourself in your journey of becoming a wrestler? 
AG: What I have learned about myself in my journey of becoming a pro wrestler that I made the right decision. I am beyond happy doing what I do, and I could not imagine doing anything else but pro wrestling.
What has been your favorite part of your career so far? 
AG: My absolute favorite moment in my career so far was winning the AOW (Alpha Omega Wrestling) Women’s Championship.
Who would your dream match be against? 
AG: I have no idea what my dream match would be, honestly. I haven’t actually thought about that!
Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day? 
AG: I haven’t worked her yet, but I would love to wrestle Candice LeRae one day.
What are some of your goals for 2017? 
AG: A lot of my goals for 2017 involve traveling. I am hoping to travel to Canada and Japan during 2017.
Favorite cheat meal? Type of music? Type of movies? 
AG: My favorite cheat “meal” is pizza. I love all music, no joke. I find something beautiful in every piece of music. As far as movies, I love action and horror films.


What is something that not many people know about you? 
AG: One thing that not many people know about me is that I am a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan.
Favorite place that you have wrestled so far? 
AG: My favorite place that I have worked so far is EWF (Empire Wrestling Federation.)
Bucket list of places you want to wrestle? 
AG: A few places on my “bucket list” I’d love to work are Stardom, Gold Rush Pro Wrestling, Shimmer, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t wrestling? 
AG: When I am not wrestling I enjoy hiking, off-roading, water skiing, reading, playing video games, watching football, being around my family and friends and traveling.
Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling, I would be doing… 
AG: If I wasn’t involved in wrestling, I would be doing something in the medical field.
Any words for your fans?
AG: I love my fans aka my “Grace Faces.” I am beyond appreciative of all the love and support they have shown me this far. They are amazing and I am beyond grateful for them.
