Turnbuckle Talk: Aria Blake

Welcome to another edition of Turnbuckle Talk and today we have yet another wonderful woman wrestle to feature for you. Today’s woman featured is Aria Blake!

Aria currently resides in Tampa, Florida and was trained by one of the best in the business, Jay Lethal. Learn who her dream match would be against, where she would like to wrestle one day, what not many people know about her and more by reading our interview below.

H/F: At what age did you begin watching wrestling?
AB: I began watching wrestling at the age of 14.

H/F: When did you know that you wanted to become a wrestler?
AB: The second I saw my first match!

H/F: Where did you begin your training and who did you train with?
AB: Uproar Pro Wrestling academy under Jay Lethal.

H/F: How long have you been in the business?
AB: About 2 & a half years now.

H/F: Who are some of your influences or people that you look up to in the business?
AB: Jay (of course), Angelina Love (she also helped train me), Sasha Banks, Lita, Natalya and Jeff Hardy.

H/F: What is your entrance music? Any reason for picking this song?
AB: I use a few different custom themes, but I’ve used “Megitsune” by Baby Metal. It has a good opening & I just like the song.

H/F: What is the name of your finishers?
AB: Blakeout: high kick to the head. Blake Break: submission, kind of like a seated octopus hold.

H/F: What have you learned about yourself in your journey of becoming a wrestler?
AB: I’ve learned that I can fulfill any dream I dedicate myself to & that I’m stronger, mentally and physically than I ever could have anticipated.

H/F: What has been your favorite part of your career so far?
AB: Traveling to various shows with my friends and the people I train with.

H/F: Who would your dream match be against?
AB: Sasha Banks!

H/F: Other than the dream match opponent, is there anyone that you haven’t worked with that you would like to one day?
AB: Oh yes! Bayley, Asuka, Heidi Lovelace, Mia Yim, Taya, Sexy Star and Allysin Kay.

H/F: What are some of your goals for 2017?
AB: To keep learning, go to new places, and wrestle new opponents.

H/F: Favorite cheat meal? Type of music? Type of movies?
AB: Meal: Pizza! Music: pop-punk. Movies: comedy.

H/F: What is something that not many people know about you?
AB: I’m super flexible & double jointed in about 5 places.

H/F: Favorite place that you have wrestled so far?
AB: Berwyn Eagles Club.

H/F: Bucket list of places you want to wrestle?
AB: Amalie Arena in Tampa (where I saw my first wrestling show), Madison Square Garden, Korakuen Hall and the O2 Arena.

H/F: What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t wrestling?
AB: Going to the gym, hanging out with friends, playing with my dog and sleeping.

H/F: Finish this statement, if I wasn’t involved in wrestling, I would be doing…
AB: Better in school, probably.

H/F: Do you have any words for your fans?
