RCW November 4 card preview

On Friday November 4th, River City Wrestling will host its final event of 2016. The event will feature all of your favorite RCW stars, along with some special guests that include Cody Rhodes, RCW Legends champion “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Dylan Postl aka Swoggle and the RCW women’s champion Katie Forbes. Tickets for the event can be purchased by clicking here. Below you can find the list of matches for the event, along with a preview of each match.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The Fabulous Freebirds and The Von Erichs. Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers. Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes. Bruno Sammartino and Larry Zbyszko. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. None of these rivalries compare to the hate between Rob Love and “Chi Town’s Finest” Mr. B. On Friday, November 4th, this feud will write its next chapter. Mr. B is always looking to punish Rob, as he has done in the last two RCW events where they have been involved in tag and triple threat matches. This time,  Mr. B and Rob will square off one on one for the first time since B lost the Phoenix title to Rob back in August. The Phoenix title will once again be on the line, except this time, it will be Rob who is walking in with the champions advantage in this bout. If you have kept up with this feud or have been at any of the recent RCW shows, then you know this match is one that you DO NOT want to miss! The match is taking place early as part of the VIP early bird ticket special that RCW is offering. You can purchase your VIP tickets here.

Joey Spector has held every title in RCW except for the legends title. He is looking to change that on Friday when he takes on Hacksaw Jim Duggan. We haven’t seen Hacksaw in RCW in  a while, but it will be nice to see the WWE Hall of Famer back in action in Texas. Spector has been on a tear lately in route to becoming the RCW International champion. Will he capture the one belt that has eluded him in RCW thus far? Come out to the show to find out!

This one is going to be a wild one! All six of these men bring a unique style to this match and it will be a fun, action packed one. Swoggle (FKA Hornswoggle in the WWE) being involved with this match is something that will be interesting to keep an eye on. He is going to be in the ring with some massive and powerful men, but somehow I think he will steal the show. Paul Titan, along with Lance Hoyt, won the RCW tag team titles at the last event over Michael Faith and Just Willie. Willie may be looking to get a little revenge against Titan, even if it doesn’t mean winning the tag titles. Xavier Daniels defeated Anthony Andrews in singles competition at the last event as well, so Andrews will be looking for payback. Skitzkrieg is just looking for a win. I can’t remember the last time he actually won at RCW. There are plenty of storylines to keep up with in this match, but as I stated, Swoggle will be the one to watch.

It will be interesting to see if Delilah Doom will call this match down the middle. If you recall, back in August at the women’s tournament, Doom was screwed out of the title by Boom Boom and that allowed Katie Forbes to pick up the win and earn the right to be called the RCW women’s champion. Will Doom seek revenge and return the favor to Katie Forbes in this championship match against Baby D? After coming up short against Joey Spector for the International title in October, Baby D is looking to capture gold yet again and I have to say, I like her chance with Delilah as the referee. As long as Boom Boom doesn’t get involved, we just may see a new women’s champion crowned on Friday night.

After coming up short in earning the RCW tag team titles, Michael Faith is ready to defend his RCW heavyweight title once again. At the last event, Brandon Groom was set to team up with Faith to take on Lance Hoyt and Paul Titan, however, Groom no showed. Could he still be upset from losing the unification match against Faith? Will Groom show up for this triple threat match? While Kyle Hawk is a talented wrestler, he may be in a little over his head in this match. An angry Michael Faith is not one I would want to deal with and you can believe that Faith will walk into this match with some frustration and anger built up from Groom no showing last month. Unfortunately for Hawk, he may be the one who feels the wrath from Faith. To see who walks out of the last RCW event of 2016 as the champion, come out out to Retama Park on Friday night and make sure you get your VIP passes so that you don’t miss out any of the action!

Heritage vs the RCW Icon. Legend vs Legend. Two of the best of the best. Rhodes, a name that carries a lot of tradition and a lot of respect. Cody has been making his rounds at indie promotions and has been putting on spectacular matches all over. Hernandez is fresh off of his tour of India and the last time we saw him in a RCW ring, he was schooling Anthony Andrews inside the squared circle. This match will be one for the ages! If you have ever been to an RCW event, you know that along with a ton of moves in his repertoire, Hernandez brings vicious chops with him to the ring, something that Cody will have to limit if he plans to walk away with a victory. Rhodes is obviously no pushover either and has plenty of tricks in his bag inside the ring as well. Both men will have to be (and they will be) on their A game in order to be victorious Friday night, but in the end, we are all the winners for getting to see these two great men face off in the ring.

Tickets for this event are $20 for general admission or $30 if you want to purchase the VIP passes and they can be purchased by clicking here. This is an action packed event that you DO NOT want to miss. It is the last RCW event of 2016 and they will go out with a bang! Be sure to come back to our website for more coverage of this event later this week.
