Thunder Rosa discusses upcoming Sabotage event

On Friday October 7, 2016, Sabotage Wrestling will host an all women’s wrestling event that will be held in Covina, California. Several women are scheduled to be on the card that night and we had the opportunity to catch up with one of them, Thunder Rosa, who also happens to be doing a lot of the behind the scenes work.

Thunder Rosa, who is also known as Kobra Moon in Lucha Underground, is also one half of the tag team “Twisted Sisterz” along with Holidead. She is putting this event together with her husband Brian Cervantes and the Women’s Wrestling Stars (WWS) of Mexico. The event will feature all types of matches between some of the most talented wrestlers from all over. You can read what we talked about below.

H/F: Talk about how you became involved with Sabotage.

TR: I was approached by the Promoter of WWS Mexico about running a show in Covina and talked to Brian Cervantes, my Husband, and he said heck yes let’s go for it!

H/F: What does it mean for you to be a part of this event?

TR: It means a lot. Last year I participated in a similar event, where many other female wrestlers were part of it, and honestly it was one of the best experiences of my life. Many of my family members were able to come and watch me wrestle, but most importantly it was the first time my parents were able to see me wrestle.

H/F: What can fans expect from yourself and all of the other wrestlers on this card?

TR: The fans are very excited about this show because many of the women highlighted in this event is their first time here in California. For me, I want to continue to make my fans proud and to show them why they call me #lameramera of California.

H/F: Who are you looking forward to seeing the most from this card?

TR: It is hard to say. I’m excited to see all of the girls push themselves to do their best. These types of shows are designed for us to demonstrate WHY Women’s Wrestling needs to be taken serious and why fans need to continue to support female athletes around the world.

H/F: Do you think there will be other events like this in the future?

TR: We are planning on it! It will be really awesome if we could have shows of this magnitude once a year (Big Show) and quarterly shows all the time. With good organization and DEFINITELY more community support, we can continue to hold shows in the West Coast and make Sabotage bigger.

H/F: Anything else you would like to tell the fans?

TR: First and foremost, I want to thank all the fans that already bought their tickets and that have been talking about Sabotage all this time. Moreover, I want to thank you guys for highlighting the talent of the show. I feel like many times because we are in only one match in regular shows, people tend to forget how important women matches are. Also, everyone don’t forget to invite your friends, significant others and family. Shows like this are ALWAYS very memorable and we want to make this show as successful as possible.

Stay tuned to Heel/Face Wrestling as we will have more interviews with more of the women who are on this card and we will bring you even more coverage on this event as more information becomes available. So far, three matches have been announced: Kat Von Heez vs Delilah Doom, Heather Monroe vs Diosa Atenea and Ruby Raze & Shotzi Blackheart vs Christi Jaynes & Safari in a tag match.

Be sure to check out some of Thunder Rosa’s merchandise which you can order directly from her or any event that she is participating in. We especially like the plush dolls that she has come out with.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
