WWE’s Money In The Bank PPV is set to take place tonight. Don’t forget you can still make your predictions with us by clicking here. This action packed card might be one of the better ones the WWE has put together and it marks the return of Seth Rollins. Below is a break down of each match and a prediction from the staff at Heel/Face Wrestling.

It’s the pre-show. The show before the show to get you ready for the show. And serving as our comedians before the rock bands are….

Lucha Dragons vs. The Dudley Boyz

“You know what…people like the Lucha Dragons.”

“They also like the Dudleys…well at one time they did.”

“Put them in a tag match and we got GOLD!” Is what I imagine the creative team said before they booked this snooze of a match. Yes, the Dragons are fun to watch but pitted against the slow plodding style, not to mention the botchamania factor, of Bubba Ray and D-Von this will not be a fun one. I assume we will get the customary “Get the Tables!” line and the crowd will pop minimally because who doesn’t like seeing a small hispanic man get put through a table. Lucha Dragons win but end the night in a pile of splintered tables.

Winner: Lucha Dragons.

-Joseph

And up next, The Golden Truth vs Fandreeze? Breezango?

The tag team you didn’t ask for in the match you didn’t know you didn’t want. I like Tyler Breeze. He was great in NXT and I, at one time, likened his cockiness and in ring ability to a young Rocker era Shawn Michaels. Main Roster has ruined him. The fact that he has been regulated to these comedy type matches really grinds my gears almost as much as the treatment of Zach Ryder. Woo. Woo. Woo. YKI! This match really is the comedian before the main act and I’m sorry but it is what it is. The Golden Truth are veterans who know they are past their appeal date and are merely having a fun time on the way out. Nothing wrong with that. Remember when Fandango beat Jericho at Mania? Bet you don’t. He has fallen so far so fast that few were even aware he was on the roster still. This match will have it all! Botches! Bumbling spots by the wily veterans. In fighting between both teams as chemistry is sought. And in the end, no one will care. Breeze, I know you like the paycheck but remember what happened to Sandow! Fight it!

Winner: Golden Truth.

-Joseph

Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

In this best out of 500 match-up, I find myself just as bored with this contest as have been the past dozen times I’ve seen it. Zigs is great hand in the ring and I still like how they are booking Corbin but this feud died with Ziggler’s headgear. Thankfully it’s on the preshow and we won’t have to suffer for long. Please let this end. Please.

Winner: Baron Corbin.

-JASON

Is this still even a feud? Because I didn’t even know. WWE has done a horrible job with these two because I honestly didn’t know they were still feuding. I’m going to go with Baron Corbin with the win on this one, though I wish it was Dolph Ziggler.

Winner: Baron Corbin.

-CARLO

It’s Ziggler vs. Corbin in a match you’ve never seen before. Stop the presses! This is happening! If only this were the case. The creative team at WWE likes to rehash matches over and over and yes it is vital to build rivalries but when the finishes become predictable and the only time we see them interact is during the same tired match….WE GET BORED! I’m going with Dolph over the NXT call-up.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler.

-Joseph

Why? Why are we seeing this match yet again? Don’t get me wrong, I like both of these guys but this feud is and has been done already. I’m hoping this is the last time we see these two wrestle each other and they can both move on to bigger and better things.

Winner: Baron Corbin.

-Jeff

Apollo Crews vs. Sheamus

Strangely enough, this is one the matches I’m looking forward to the most. I like the story being presenting between these two, even if it isn’t being executed very well. Crews is still trying to find himself on the mic and Sheamus has never been very good as telling a story, but both of these guys can flat out go in the ring. Especially Crews. A good showing by him here and he just might get the proverbial “rocket pack”.

Winner: Apollo Crews.

-JASON

Sheamus is fresh off the TMNT movie appearance but I still think he’s going to lose this match. Sheamus fell off pretty quickly, it wasn’t too long ago that he had the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Now he’s barely making ppv appearances. Apollo Crews with the victory.

Winner: Apollo Crews.

-CARLO

If this were the Attitude Era I would be making jokes about this all day, but nowadays I like what I do and want to continue doing it so I’ll just walk right past it. Crews has huge upside and I’m happy to see him on this card. Sheamus is a veteran who, while I don’t like him, can get Apollo over and make him look good. The Great White is a strong adversary and presents a challenge for the upstart Crews. Look for this one to be a decent match with a clean finish. I’m taking Apollo over Sheamus but this feud will continue and will be one of the better ones on RAW.

Winner: Apollo Crews.

-Joseph

Rocksteady, I mean Sheamus is a very solid person to book Apollo Crews up against. I like the direction that the WWE is taking Crews in, which is one of the things they are finally doing right in a world of total WTF bookings. A win for Crews will help build him up, which is the way to go here. Sheamus is a solid opponent and this will be a great feud for Crews to be a part of. Crews keeps on cruising and working his way up the ranks.

Winner: Apollo Crews.

-Jeff

Rusev vs. Titus O’Neil (U.S. Championship)

This one is going to get ugly. And not in the “holy $)@#, these two dudes are going to kill each other” kind of way. I’m certain Titus can’t carry a match and nothing I’ve seen from Rusev leads me to believe he can carry a match either. Hope it’s quick. But not too quick, I need time to go to the bathroom.

Winner: Rusev.

-JASON

Would love for Titus O’Neil to win, but only way I see him winning this match is via disqualification. Titus O’Neil is a good guy but with him already announcing he’ll be leaving WWE when his contract is up, this just feels like a last hoorah push to end his career to me. Rusev with the victory.

Winner: Rusev.

-CARLO

So the key to getting a title match at a PPV is to grab Vince during a somber moment and get suspended. Then upon returning from a few months off camera you will be immediately thrown into the title picture. Titus O’Neil is a big man, he’s got a good character. He’s strong and moves well in the ring. He needs bigger tights because I’m seeing a lot more of Titus than I am comfortable with. Rusev has been on a tear since regaining the U.S. Championship and he’s being built back up to the monster he originally was. You want to know how to look like a huge monster? Take out a huge monster. Rusev and Titus will go blow for blow and show us shades of Taker vs Kane but with considerably less excitement. Rusev will stand tall and Lana will say, “Rusev, Crush” and ding ding ding Rusev wins.

Winner: Rusev.

-Joseph

If I’m being honest, this match bores me. I think both of these guys are good competitors, but they have done a terrible job of building up this match in my opinion. Titus randomly got thrown into the title picture fresh off of a suspension and like Carlo mentioned, he is leaving the company, so why would we believe that he is going to win the title with his departure already in view. I just hope there aren’t many botches int his match.

Winner: Rusev.

-Jeff

Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs. Natalya and Becky Lynch

I can give credit where credit is due, Dana Brooke as fit in quite nicely in her role on the main roster….even if she did get called up before Bayley! ALKJFPOIUHSDIFUHEQPOIFHSKJHDFIUHDS

Ok, I’m sorry for that outburst. Match is going to good. Not great, but good. I think Charlotte continues to run through the women’s division and a certain “hugger” finally gets the call up to stop her.

Winner: Charlotte & Dana Brooke.

-JASON

This has been an okay feud, but I sure wish WWE would push Paige and Sasha Banks more to make the women’s division more interesting. It seems like it’s only one women’s feud going on every ppv and they need to find a way to expand on that in order for the women’s division to be successful in my opinion. I will be going with Natalya and Becky Lynch to pick up the victory as it would be a good way for Charlotte to lose without getting pinned and she won’t lose her belt. (side note; I’ve been tired of Charlotte for a minute now)

Winner: Natalya & Becky Lynch.

-CARLO

It seems that once again WWE has no idea how to book the women’s division. It wasn’t too long ago that we were criticizing Nikki Bella about never defending her title and hyping the fact that when the NXT Women moved up they would change the game. Well we’ve had a few changes and I know there are more to come but they have turned Charlotte into a champ who doesn’t defend her title at PPV’s. I’m a huge fan of Becky and Natalya but this story line just seems bland. They are trying to make the Emma/Dana story line work but the dynamic is off between Charlotte and Dana. I’m not a huge fan of Dana either. I think she is still too green and I’m bitter that she got called up before Bayley. Charlotte and Dana go over thanks to them being dirty…Ric Flair dirty…which is the worst kind…

Winner: Charlotte & Dana Brooke.

-Joseph

Another PPV will come and go and Charlotte will still be the Women’s champion for some reason. The fact that this title (and the Intercontinental title for that matter) is not being defended on every card is mind boggling to me. When did we become okay with the champions not defending their titles? I think all of the wrestling talent is on one side of this tag match and it is not in the corner of the Women’s champion. It is unfortunate that the women’s division was getting so much momentum just a few short months ago and now we’ve forced into this match. I expect Natalya and Becky to carry this match from start to finish and finish they will.

Winner: Natalya & Becky Lynch.

-Jeff

The New Day vs. Enzo and Cass vs. The Vaudevillians vs. The Club (Tag Team Championships)

Our first contestant for match of the night. All of these guys can hold their own in the ring, all of them. The interaction over the last few week in the tag team division has been great and it will come to a small culmination at MITB. I’m pretty sure we’ll see the titles change hands here but I’m also interested in what other stories could develop. Does a rift start to form between Enzo and Cass? (Spoiler: Vince is going to break them up.) What happens when the New Day loses their belts? Can anyone stop the Club? Should be fun to watch.

Winner: The Club.

-JASON

Oh how I wish it was only Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs The New Day. Was I the only one at the edge of my seat to see Enzo Amore and Xavier Woods go at it on the mic to only be let down when The Vaudevillians music hit? I hope not. WWE just loves to tease me don’t they? Oh well now for my prediction, I hope I’m wrong and Enzo and Cass get the victory but I think The New Day retains their titles.

Winner: The New Day.

-CARLO

I like each of these tag teams individually and against each other in one team versus one team, they would be one of my matches to watch. Historically, Fatal Four way Tag Matches have been huge clusters of crap and I don’t expect this one to be any different. There is just way too much going on and Fatal Four ways only work out good if it is under the Tornado Tag Rules. While the talent in the ring isn’t in question, the booking is going to cost this one. I’ll go out on a limb and say Enzo and Cass win it but that’s just being hopeful. Thank God the Usos aren’t in it…

Winner: Enzo Amore & Big Cass.

-Joseph

Okay, now we are talking. This match is going to be a great one. While I do not like all the teams involved int his match, each one of them can go, although some better than others. While I do like the New Day, I must admit that I like Enzo and Cass more than the other teams in this match. As much as I want them to win, I just don’t see that happening, yet. I do think they will win the titles eventually, but right now is the right time. The Club is just now getting going in the WWE and the Vaudevillians are doing okay work as heels. I think the New Day escapes with the titles, but will continue to feud with the Club and Ezno and Cass will continue their (somewhat) feud with the Vaudevillians.

Winner: The New Day.

-Jeff

A.J. Styles vs. John Cena

Or the match booked just to spite Jeff. These two can go and while it may have been years since they both debuted, this is a match I’ve dreamed about. No joke. Styles was at the top of TNA, while Cena was schooling WWE in Thuganomics. These two were the young cornerstones of their respected companies and I wanted to see them go. I get the match, albeit, years later but I’m still looking forward to it. Cena coming back from injury will be looking to secure momentum with a win. Styles fresh off his lackluster feud with Roman Reigns, will be looking to get back on track and you know he’s got his crew waiting in the wings despite what contract he signed. This should be a fun match and I’m giving the win to Styles. P.s. My all time Styles dream match was against Jeff Hardy in his WWE days….before all the issues tore him down.

Winner: AJ Styles.

-Joseph

Ok WWE, we get it. This match is big. It’s Huge. It’s Wrestlemania level. And it all honesty it is. 10 years ago this match would have never happened. It really is a dream match for all the smarks out there. Styles has been nothing but phenomenal since arriving in the WWE and each match has been better than the last. This one will not disappoint either. Cena always elevates his game when in the ring with an opponent who’s better than he is. This match will however tell us which direction Styles is headed in. I smell a KO/Cena situation arising.

Winner: AJ Styles.

-JASON

I wonder which way my cousin Jeff is going to go with this prediction? Hmmm!! He is not a big fan of either of these guys.. In his perfect world, he’d probably have both of them lose lol. Sorry this had to happen to you Jeff. I’m going with John Cena to win this match as since his great mic work is the only reason I’m interested in this match, I’m not too fond of AJ Styles either.

Winner: John Cena.

-CARLO

It is no secret that I DO NOT like either of these two men. AJ more so than Cena but I think that is only because Cena was gone for some time while he was nursing an injury, so that gave me time to not be annoyed with him while AJ was shoved in my face since the Royal Rumble. With that said, just as I mentioned yesterday on our very first Heel/Face Radio podcast, I think this will be the match of the night. Look, like I said, I dislike these two guys but I am not going to sit here and say that they cannot wrestle, because obviously they are great at what they do. While Styles may not be the man he once was in his earlier days, he still has something left to give and he is still performing with the best of them. Cena is Cena and even coming off of an injury we can expect that same ol’ Cena that always delivers. In a match that Heel Cerda hates to see, realistic Cerda expects this to be a match for the ages. There, I said it, are you happy Jason and Joseph?! Cena goes over because Vince doesn’t want to promote what he did not build and he is not responsible for Styles successful past.

Winner: John Cena.

-Jeff

Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)

Second candidate and most likely the winner for match of the night. Though extremely repetitive, the intertwining stories in this match have been pretty well told. We all know this match will be fire. We all know this match will have HUGE spots. What we don’t know is who will climb that ladder and get themselves a shot at the title. I’m going to rule out Cesaro. For as much as it seems he’s getting a push, it always feels like one step forward and two steps back when it comes to creative and Cesaro. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have each other so we’ll take them off the list. Dean Ambrose is just too obvious and WWE has to be saving this Shield showdown for bigger and better things. That just leaves Del Rio and Jericho. Del Rio has nothing going on (besides Paige, lucky son of a…) and could really use the case but I get the feeling it’s going to be a certain scarf wearing rock singer.

Winner: Chris Jericho.

-JASON

So we have Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, and Alberto Del Rio all in one match and it should be exciting. I would love for Dean Ambrose to win and then cash in for the Heavyweight Championship match later in the night, but I don’t know if that’s going to happen. I am going to go with Kevin Owens getting the victory here, as I feel Ambrose will be perfectly fine even if he loses this match.

Winner: Kevin Owens.

-CARLO

This match steals the show every year and ladder matches steal the show whenever they have them. Throw in the incredible crop of talent in this match and you have a powder keg of awesomeness waiting to explode. If you are’t hyped for this match, you are just a Stupid Idiot. We know Zayn and Owens can bring the fireworks and Jericho never ceases to not have a solid match. Jerichio continues to amaze me at the matches he’s okaying despite being a veteran and a bona fide living legend. Cesaro is a solid worker and I’m interested in seeing what he brings to this environment. Del Rio is no stranger to danger and will be looking to be back in the title hunt. And that brings me to my man, Dean Ambrose. I am a huge Ambrose fan and I’m pulling for him to get back in the title picture. He is the biggest baby face in the company right now and while he is not Stone Cold Steve Austin, I believe he shares a quality with the Rattlesnake. Ambrose is gold when he is chasing after a title. His feud with Rollins was amazing and I think if he wins the MITB and gets into the feud with Reigns and Rollins, we will see a whole new side of Ambrose. A serious and unpredictable side. So that’s my pick. Ambrose wins it and we get the Shield Three way match at SummerSlam. Book It!

Winner: Dean Ambrose.

-Joseph

Remember how I just said that Cena versus Styles will be match of the night, the only match that has the opportunity to top that one is this one. With all of the talent in this match, it is going to be hard to mess this up. Cesaro won’t win because the WWE booking loves to do that to him for whatever reason. Sami Zayn won’t win because, well it is too early in his career. Alberto Del Rio won’t win because he is Alberto Del Rio and let’s be honest, he is nowhere near the title picture. Although Kevin Owens doesn’t need it, it sure wouldn’t hurt his push. Dean Ambrose certainly does not need this briefcase as he is already entering the title picture and Y2J Chris Jericho is probably the one who might need this more than anyone in this match. Jericho created this match and it would be cool to see him get one last title push before his career is over, but I just don’t see that happen. Kevin Owens would obviously be my pick if it were up to me to decide who should win, but I think he will continue his feud with Zayn for a little while longer before they give him a title push. As I just mentioned, Ambrose doesn’t need this, which is exactly why the WWE will give him the win and mess up this entire match in my opinion. Why waste the briefcase on someone who is already working his way into the title picture? Because WWE that’s why…….

Winner: Dean Ambrose.

-Jeff

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins (World Heavyweight Championship)

Ok, let’s just get it out of the way (as always), Roman is not losing the title. Ever. It will be years. YEARS I TELL YOU! Ok, maybe not. But he isn’t losing at MITB. What’s more important is finally getting to see Seth Rollins in the ring again. He wasn’t lying when he said that his knee collapsed under carrying the weight of the company on his shoulders. He is easily one of, if not the most talented guys in the WWE. Just having him back is going to change the game. The match will be fantastic, if not show-stealing, simply due to Rollins being in the ring. Still, Roman is walking out the champ. Not sure if we’ll see a cash in right away though. Probably not. But, you never know.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

-JASON

Seth Rollins is back and my boy Roman Reigns has yet to get his revenge. I want Roman Reigns to win but I don’t know which way the WWE is going. I guess that’s a good thing. It’s better than me being able to predict everything. I’m hoping Roman Reigns wins and hope my prediction is right. This is going to be a good one.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

-CARLO

Seth Rollins, fighting to regain the title he never lost. I do not agree with WWE decision to bring him back and make him the heel in this feud. Yes he left as the heel and yes he is amazing as one, I believe one of the best (shameless plug: Heels to Come:The Undisputed Future coming soon), but you can’t air the WWE24 special on the network and then have us hate the man. Reigns should have turned heel and I will continue to say this, Roman Reigns will be more over as an arrogant, cocky heel than he is as a arrogant, cocky baby face. This match should be run and Rollins will carry Reigns to a semi-stellar match. I’m thinking given the crowd reaction to Reigns in the past few months and the fact that the crowd will be behind Rollins, the Title comes off of Reigns and goes to Rollins. Rollins reestablishes himself as the Man and Ambrose enters into the picture again.

Winner: Seth Rollins.

-Joseph

We all know Roman is holding on to the title until Summer Slam, where he will lose the title to Seth in a triple threat match that includes Dean Ambrose. This is just the first of many matches between these two (or three if you want to go ahead and include Ambrose) that we will see and I will not complain about those one bit. It is the lower card matches that end up being repeats that need to be eliminated. This feud has been built up pretty good and this match should be a solid one. I don’t think Ambrose will cash in his newly won briefcase tonight, but he may make an appearance at ringside to distract Rollins and give Roman the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

-Jeff

So there you have it, there are our predictions for Money In The Bank. Don’t forget, you still have time to submit your predictions here and compete against us here at Heel/Face Wrestling.
