“The King of Old School” Steve Corino will get his rematch for the NWA World Heavyweight Title that he never received back in 2001, when he squares off with current champion “Godzilla” Jax Dane in the main event of “A Night To Give Back.”

When Corino lost the NWA title back in 2001, he wasn’t even pinned in the match. Shinya Hashimoto, Gary Steele and Corino faced off in a triple threat match, that ultimately saw Hashimoto pin Steele to capture the title. Corino would never get another shot at the title, until now. It will be exactly 5,300 days since Corino has wrestled for the NWA title come June 18, but who is counting?

Dane has held the NWA title since August 29, 2015, when he defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan in San Antonio, Texas. The last time the NWA World Heavyweight Title was on the line at a Pro Wrestling Texas event was in May, when Dane sucessfully defended the title against current Inspire Pro Champion “Dirty” Andy Dalton.

While Dane brings the power and strength as well as a plethora of moves, Corino has an arsenal of maneuvers himself and is a crafty veteran who knows his way around the ring. This match will not disappoint and it is going to be one for the ages. Be sure to get your tickets to the event now and make sure you arrive early to get the best seat in the house.

The rest of the matches on the card are previewed below.

Keith Lee vs “Unholy” Gregory James

nwa pwt1

Keith Lee is coming off of a tag team win at the last NWA PWT event, while Gregory James came up short in a championship battle against NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Steve Anthony. James is undersized in this match, but don’t let that fool you. Lee will look to use his strength to his advantage, but James’ speed and agility will keep him in this match. Will the “Unholy” one prevail? Or will the strength of Lee prove to be too much?

Laynie Luck & BB&J (Bam Bam Malone & Jaxon Stone) vs Christi Jaynes & The Vet Club (Tim Storm & Apoc Wrestler)

nwa pwt3

The feud between BB&J and The Vet Club was heating up at the last NWA PWT event. At that event, BB&J picked up a win over The Vet Club and later in the night when The Vet Club attacked NWA PWT champion Jax Dane, BB&J came in to make the save. Luck and Jaynes also battled at the last NWA PWT event and Jaynes picked up a win over Luck, who was without her partner in crime “Dirty” Andy Dalton. Dalton was ejected from ringside by the referee after it was determined that he was interfering in the match. Adding Luck and Jaynes in the mix only adds fuel to the fire that is already burning between these six. Will The Vet Club and Laynie Luck get some revenge on BB&J and Christi Jaynes at A Night To Give Back?

Chris “The Hybrid” Marval vs Raymond “Death” Rowe

nwa pwt2

At the last NWA Pro Wrestling TeXas event, Marval came up short on his quest to capture the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. This time he is pitted against another tough opponent in Raymond Rowe, who defeated Jerome Daniels on that same night. Both of these quality wrestlers are sure to put on a great match and you do not want to miss this!

Shane Taylor vs Moonshine Mantel (Champion) for the Pro Wrestling TeXas Heavyweight Championship

Mantel sucessfully defended his title at the last NWA PWT against Chris Marval in a match that could have gone either way. Now, Mantel will be put to the test once again when he faces off with Shane Taylor. Taylor is also coming off of a victory at the last NWA PWT event in a tag team battle and is looking to capture some gold. This match is sure to be yet another good match on an already action packed event.

Fans in attendance will be allowed to begin taking their seats at 7:30pm and the first match is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm. Tickets for this event are $10 for general admission and $20 for VIP front row seating. 50% of the ticket sales from the general admission tickets sold will be donated to a local family who lost their home due to a tragic house fire. A raffle and a silent auction will also be held the night of the event in hopes to generate an even bigger donation. If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to donate to the family, a GoFundMe page has been set up here.

Pinballz Kingdom is located at 15201 South IH-35 Frontage Road in Buda, Texas. For more information on this event, please email: shani@walkthepathtx.com
