Pre-show

Kalisto vs Ryback:

This match has had zero build and this story makes no sense. Is Ryback a heel or just a big guy who needs a snickers because he’s not himself. This match should have been built like a David vs. Goliath feud, with Kalisto getting battered by Ryback. Instead we get the fact that Ryback respects Kalisto but thinks he should be U.S. champ simply because he’s bigger. All the work Cena put in to building this championship back to relevancy has been wiped out. This match will be a semi-boring one with a few high spots by Kalisto….such promise being squandered by creative. Kalisto wins and Ryback assaults him after…leading to this feud continuing.

Winner: Kalisto

-Joseph

I can’t decide if I’m interested in this match or not. I really like what they have been doing with Ryback. He’s a monster and has been destroying his opponents but is still booty on the mic. Kalisto is one of the most electric performers in the ring and always puts on a good show. I know the “good guys” always win at Wrestlemania but I smell another push coming Ryback’s way and wouldn’t be surprised to see the Big Guy walk out with the title around his waist. This match has potential to be entertaining in-ring but I just don’t know.

Winner: Ryback

-Jason

I think Kalisto has done a pretty good job as US Champion and Ryback has been doing a lot of talking about Kalisto being to small to beat him, even though I believe Kalisto has beaten him before. I see Kalisto beating Ryback and retaining the US Championship.

Winner: Kalisto

-Carlo

Can someone tell me again why this feud is happening?! For as great of a wrestler Kalisto is, he is garbage on the mic and Ryback isn’t a shining star in that department either. Considering how the chatter about Ryback is that he is dangerous to work with, I’m surprised he’s even on the card (even if it is the preshow) and even more surprised he is getting a championship match. No clue which direction this is headed, but hopefully it’s a one and done type of deal.

Winner: Kalisto

-Jeff

The Total Divas vs. Team B.A.D. & Blonde

This match has a few highlights to it. We get Emma back on the main roster and this time with a gimmick that works for her. She found her calling in NXT as a heel and man oh man does it work. We should also get the inring debut of the Ravishing Russian, Lana. There have been rumors swirling since she debuted with Rusev that she had some talent in the ring. It will be interesting to see. And now we address the all red elephant in the room: Eva Marie. I don’t know what creative was thinking bringing her to main roster as a face when all her work in NXT was as a heel. This seems like they just don’t have a clue what to do with her or they just said “screw it.” She has improved significantly but not enough to make fans forget her prior work. This match is a promo for a tv show with dying ratings…Total Divas not Raw. Team Total Divas gets the win with Brie pinning Sumer Rae.

Winner:  Team Total Divas

-Joseph

I refuse to write about any match that has Eva Marie booked….

OK, maybe a little. First, it’s a travesty that Nattie has to lower herself to the level of this match but I’m glad she has a Wrestlemania spot. Also super-happy to see Emma back on the main roster. She can work and deserves a spot over most of the women booked in this match. I’m slightly interested in seeing what Lana can do in the ring but don’t expect much in her debut. Really, all I want to see is Brie get the pin and go over before she retires on Monday. She deserves it. Will always be my favorite Bella twin.

Winner: Nattie, Paige, Brie & Alicia. (Eva Marie is never a winner)

-Jason

Anybody else as confused as I am that WWE brought up Eva Marie to wrestle in this match? I get she is on the Total Divas tv series but man she’s just a bad wrestler and also she gets booed in NXT, what did WWE think was gonna happen on Raw? Only route I can see WWE going now after that reaction on Raw is Eva Marie turns her back on team Total Divas. I’m going with Team B.A.D. and Blonde with the victory here.

Winner: Team B.A.D. & Blonde

-Carlo

So the WWE built up the Brie/Lana feud and it seemed like they were headed for a singles match, if nowhere else, at least at Fastlane. That didn’t happen and then they threw them in the mix with the team B.A.D. and Total Divas feud…….ok. A perfect opportunity to bring up Bayley (who is one of my favorite women wrestlers, more on this subject later Carlo) was wasted and instead we got Eva Marie. Wow. I see a lot of bad wrestling with botched moves in this snooze fest.

Winner: Team Total Divas

-Jeff

The Usos vs. The Dudleys

Both these teams gave fans such high hopes just a year ago. The Dudleys were the revitalization of the tag team division. The veterans brought in to elevate it to the next level. The Usos were straight off a Slammy Award win for Best Tag Team. Now they are relegated to a match with zero meaning and zero story. No one cares for this match. The Dudleys have interacted with Roman Reigns more than his cousins in recent weeks. This is a snoozer that should have a table spot because Dudley.

Winner: The Dudleys

-Joseph

This match is going to be… pointless. Seriously, what’s the point? If it turns into a tables match, then OK. Maybe it’s slightly more entertaining. But I won’t be angry if I miss this match because I’m getting a soda and a $14 burger. Talk to me when Enzo and Cass are finally called up.

Winner: The Usos

-Jason

These two tag teams been going back and forth ever since Dudley Boyz turned heels. I don’t know where this feud is going to end up but I see the Usos picking up the victory here.

Winner: The Usos

-Carlo

Yawn……yet another match that makes no sense. It’s almost like the WWE said, “hey let’s come up with matches that have no meaning and make absolutely no sense and throw them all on the preshow!” Like Jason said, give me Enzo and Cass already. They are what’s best for business and YOU CAN’T TEACH THAT! Bada boom! Realest guys in the room!

Winners: The Dudleys p.s. HOW YOU DOIN?!

-Jeff

Main Card.

AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho

Yes these two deliver. Yes, this match should be decent. Yes, we’ve already seen this match at least four times before. WWE creative has a habit of going into panic mode when injuries mount and forcing the same matches on fans. This is a prime example. Heel Jericho has been great but the build has been a little off, in my opinion. This match should be fun but it will need to bring out something we haven’t seen yet. I’m thinking Jericho needs to take a Styles Clash. Styles wins his Wrestlemania debut.

Winner: AJ Styles

-Joseph

This! This is the Jericho I actually like. The whining, cry-baby, full heel SOB that is just so much fun to hate. Not that Styles needed any help getting over with the WWE crowd but this has been booked great all the way up to Wrestlemania. Maybe it’s not the match we all wanted to see Styles make his ‘Mania debut in, but it’s a solid rivalry and has really shown us all that Styles deserves to be in the upper-echelon of WWE, which I fully expect him to be on Monday. Maybe he gets mixed into the Owens/Zayn stuff. Now that’s something I’d like to see!

Winner: A.J. Styles

-Jason

3rd or 4th and hopefully final match between these two. Still not very high on AJ Styles, but I see Jericho trying to put over a newcomer to WWE. AJ Styles with the Victory.

Winner: AJ Styles

-Carlo

I probably have the most unpopular opinion on AJ Styles. One word, ok maybe two. Overrated and overhyped. Everyone was talking about him like he was going to come in and change the WWE. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying the guy sucks, he’s just not living up to the hype in my opinion. He’s had moments and I get he is just starting out with the company, but I think his better days are behind him. I told you it was an unpopular option. Anyways, I agree with Carlo and I think Y2J does AJ a solid and puts him over for his first Wrestlemania victory.

Winner: AJ Styles

-Jeff

Andre the Giant Battle Royal

I’m not going to list all the participants but Big Show and Kane have featured prominently recently and the smart money is on one of them winning. Possibly Kane. But I’ve never been one to bet the smart choice, one reason why I’m a bad gambler, so I’m saying the reason this match was moved back to the main card is due to a huge return coming in this match. I’m going to go with Cesaro being cleared and being a surprise entrant and winner.

Winner: Cesaro

-Joseph

This has been an entertaining match over the last two years and I expect it to be the same. I’d like to see a few surprise entrants (i.e. Cesaro) but in the end I expect it to be once again used as a legacy award of sorts. Big Show got his, now it’s time for the other big man to win it.

Winner: Kane

-Jason

I sure don’t know the 20 men who are going to enter this Battle Royal, but I’m predicting Cesaro is going to make his big return and toss out last years winner Big Show for the victory.
Winner: Cesaro

-Carlo

I agree that Cesaro will make his return, I don’t agree that he will win. That would make the fans too happy and we all know the WWE doesn’t know how to do that. Kane and Big Show have basically been the only ones giving promos on the match which makes me think it will be either of them. I know the #SocialOutcasts (yes I just hashtagged in an article) kind of did promo for this match, but that doesn’t count. If the WWE wants a two time winner of this match, they’ll make it Big Show and if they want a new winner, they’ll go Kane. I don’t know which route they’ll choose so I’ll flip a coin.

Winner: Big Show

-Jeff

The New Day vs. The League of Nations

The fact that the Tag Team Titles are not on the line tells me all I need to know. The only reason this feud is happening is because there are no other teams on the level that New Day is. This is just a filler feud and nothing else.  I am going to go ahead and say that League of Nations wins and continues this feud til Summerslam. WWE is in desperate need of new tag team blood. Paging Enzo and Cass!

Winner: League of Nations

-Joseph

Actually one of the matches I’m looking most forward to. I expect New Day to have one of the best entrances EVER in Wrestlemania history. I expect the “Lads” to be boring as hell like they always are, though they have been more heel-ish lately and I will admit it’s an improvement. Still, I expect New Day to walk out with the victory despite being down 4 to 3 in this match. I know there have been rumors of a fourth being added to New Day’s side in this match but they’ll eat their Booty-Os and not need much help winning.

Winner: New Day

-Jason

League of Nations is BOOTY!! I hate them, I think they are trash. I was really hoping WWE would call up Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady from NXT to have them feud with New Day for Wrestlemania. I think the oromos would have  been golden and the match would have been exciting. Instead we get League of Nations and I don’t see them defeating New Day. New Day pulls out the victory here.

Winner: New Day

-Carlo

This is a match for real? The New Day are being wasted on the “super bowl of wrestling” against some has beens and a never will be. This is a prime example of the panic mode the WWE is in and proof that they had no plan b in case their roster was hit with injuries. Again, Enzo and Cass would have been perfect here. Instead we got this lame match up. The only thing I’m looking forward to in this match is the New Day’s enterence, I heard they might have something special up their sleeves. Awwwwwwwwwww Carlo! Don’t you dare you sour!

Winner: New Day (rocks!)

-Jeff

IC Title Ladder Match

This match has potential but I think it would have been better served a four way with Owens v Zayn v Ryder v Ziggler. Now it is a little muddy and unclear due to lack of build. Owens and Zayn have history that WWE has ignored and this has caused fans who don’t watch NXT to have zero clue about it. I’m excited to be in the building to hear Ryder’s music and WOO WOO WOO! I’m going to call in the fact that Stephen Amell will be in the building and will screw Stardust setting up a Summerslam Rematch. This match should have some HUGE spots and will be very entertaining. Kevin Owens retains.

Winner: Kevin Owens

-Joseph

Woo Woo Woo! Here’s where things start to get good. I love WWE bringing the ladder match back to Wrestlemania. Last year’s was fantastic and this one should be no different. Of course I’m like the rest of you and would love to see Zayn v Owens one-on-one here but we’ve got plenty of years left for that. All the guys in this match can work and even though it doesn’t have the star power that the match last year had, there will be some great spots that should draw some cheers for the crowd. I don’t see anyone dethroning the champ but I suppose there’s a chance Zigs walks out with the belt. Still, Owens should walk out the winner and will hopefully start an angle with Zayn on Raw.

Winner: Kevin Owens

-Jason

I would’ve loved to have seen Kevin Owens perform in a singles match on the Grand Stage of them all, but we got this packed Ladders Match instead. Didn’t we see this type of match for the IC title at last years Wrestlemania? Yawn. Kevin Owens with the victory here.

Winner: Kevin Owens

-Carlo

Obviously it’s no secret who my current favorite wrestler is. KO is the man and someone great once said to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man and that is not happening in this match. I think this match will be better than people think and it could have some bright spots, especially since the ladders will be involved.

Winner: Fight Owens Fight

-Jeff

Divas Title Match

I swear if Ric Flair factors in to the finish I will, to quote Sam Roberts, “burn Dallas to the ground.” These three women have the potential to steal this show and I’m betting they do. This match has my attention and will keep it. These three women all have a champion written on them. Believe or not this is the best built match on the card and one that has it all, drama, jealousy, revenge, legacy. I think Becky wins and gives us the underdog moment but this match is sure to tear down Jerryville.

Winner: Becky Lynch

-Joseph

So by now everyone has heard the (confirmed) rumors that WWE will be ditching the “divas” title and bringing back the women’s title, which is as it should be. And what better way to do it than with three of the women who have revolutionized the division. This match is going to be fire. All three of these women can just flat out go. We’ve seen them all work together before and they never disappoint. Now, on the biggest stage of them all, you can bet each will leave it all in the ring and show the fans why women’s wrestling will never be the same again. Quite possibly the match of the night.

There’s a good chance that the belt changes hands here; Sasha is ready to lead the division but then again, so is Becky. I’m going to go with Charlotte here. I think she retains and continues her reign a little longer. But can we get rid of daddy Ric? Love the man. One of the best ever. But I’m tired of it.

Winner: Charlotte

-Jason

This should be a pretty entertaining match and both Becky and Sasha seem to want the belt pretty bad. I got my 2nd girl Sasha Banks(Paige is 1st) picking up the victory. Yes Jeff that’s right I said it, Sasha Banks is my 2nd girl.

Winner: Sasha Banks

-Carlo

Like my fellow wrestling enthusiast said before me, this could possibly be the match of the night. I’m actually looking forward to this one and that surprises me because I rarely look forward to a divas match. I’m glad they are bringing back the women’s title and ditching the diva’s belt. Two of these women can wrestle, the other one is here because of her dad. Every time I see Charlotte wrestle, it looks sloppy to me. Other than the figure 8, she doesn’t really have quality moves. On top of that, her mic skills are garbage and I think they realized this so they brought in her dad. Becky and Sasha are light years ahead of Charlotte and I think they will steal the show more than Charlotte having anything to do with it. Either way, this will still be an entertaining match that hopefully has a clean finish because I don’t want Joseph to burn down Dallas before we have Monday Night Raw! Also Carlo, Sasha has been my girl since before it was the cool thing to do. Now she’s finally getting to shine on the big stage.

Winner: and neeeeeeeeew women’s champion Sasha Banks

-Jeff

Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker; if Shane wins, he gains control of Monday Night Raw

The match with the stipulation that is longer than the Uso’s match will be. I don’t think this is Taker’s last ‘Mania match but at the same time I can’t see why Shane wouldn’t win. The big thing is if we get a swerve. Like Triple H siding with Shane against Vince and taking over in a “best for business” move. We should get our classic and expected Shane bump plus some. This match will be good for what it is: a 46 year old father vs a 50 year old part time wrestler. Slow pace and big spots. Shane wins and takes RAW in a new direction.

Winner: Shane McMahon

-Joseph

OK. So the story has been kinda meh. The promos have been hit or miss. But this is freakin’ Shane-O-Mac taking on the Deadman in HELL IN A CELL! What more could you possibly want at Wrestlemania?! I like the stipulations, it adds a little something to the match-up. But still, it’s Taker v Shane in the cell! Needless to say, this is the match I’m looking forward to the most.

There’s going to be some HUGE spots in this match. Undertaker always brings it at ‘Mania and let’s face it, gigantic spots are what got Shane over in the first place. It’s going to be brutal. It’s going to be ruthless. It’s going to be bloody. What I don’t know is…. Who wins this match?! I mean, this can’t possibly be Undertaker’s last Wrestlemania….can it? And Vince can possibly turn over control of Raw to Shane… can he? (#Kayfabe) This is my first Wrestlemania. This is the first time I’ll see the Undertaker in person. And despite those things, the reason I’m the most excited is that I have no idea who is going to win this match.

Winner: I have no #*&@ing clue!

-Jason

I think Shane McMahon is still crazy enough to pull off something that will get the fans out of their seats and cheering in this one, but I just don’t see him beating Undertaker on Wrestlemania Sunday. Undertaker with the victory.

Winner: The Undertaker

-Carlo

I’m torn in this match. I’d like for Shane to win and take over control of raw, but at the same time I don’t think the Undertaker should lose at Wrestlemania(yes I’m still pissed at him losing to Brock). Everything I’ve read has told me that this is a one time deal for Shane and he is done after Wrestlemania. His other businesses require more of his time and the WWE isn’t as high on his priority list. That could all be part of the plan, making us believe it can’t happen and then bam. I also don’t believe this is Undertaker’s last Wrestlemania, but I could see him losing and then Vince bringing him back somehow. It’s time for a change.

Winner: Shane McMahon

-Jeff

Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar

This is a match that could be the main event. Ambrose drawing the Brock Lesnar match is indicative of how much WWE trusts Ambrose as a performer. This is the ultimate destructive force vs the man who can pull crazy out of thin air and come at you in so many ways. This is one of the matches I’m looking forward and not just because I’m a member of the Ambrose Asylum. This is a match that Ambrose can afford to lose and still look strong. This is also a match Lesner could lose before taking his spring vacation. The only downside is that if there is Wyatt Family interference than this will cheapen the match and make it less of a statement. If WWE has been listening, and it is hard to ignore that pops, than Ambrose should go over. Either way this should be one hell of a match and a bloody good fight.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

-Joseph

Oh baby here we go! This match has the potential to be one for the ages. Aside from the fact that Ambrose has a long history with these type of matches. Aside from the fact that Ambrose has the endorsement of two of the best hardcore wrestlers of all-time. Aside from the fact that he’s pretty much lost his damn mind by accepting this match. When was the last time you watched a Lesnar match and weren’t 100% certain he was going to win?!

I mean, I fully expect some sort of interference from the Wyatt Family that will set up an angle with Bray and Brock, but I’m also nearly convinced that Ambrose could take down the beast alone. They’ve done that great of job building this story and I’m fully invested. Can you imagine what it would mean for Dean Ambrose to take down the Beast Incarnate?! To beat the man who destroyed John Cena? To defeat the man who ended the Undertaker’s streak? The possibilities would be endless.

Winner: Dean Ambrose (w/help from the Wyatt Family)

-Jason

Now this is the match I’m interested in seeing, No Holds Barred Street Fight. Giving both these guys so many weapons seems pretty exciting for me and I want to see what Dean Ambrose is gonna do with his crazy self . Dean Ambrose picks up the victory after the Wyatt Family interferes and attacks Brock Lesnar.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

-Carlo

What can I say about this match that hasn’t been said already? This is going to be a “slobber knocker” as JR would say. I wouldn’t be mad if this is moved to the main event as I heard rumors about that happening. But is Triple H and Vince really going to move the WWE title match from headlining the main event of the biggest show of them all? Doubtful. Nonetheless, you’re not going to want to miss this match! It could swing either way, but I don’t see the Beast Incarnate losing at a Wrestlemania anytime soon.

Winner: Brrrrrrrrock Lesnaaaarrrrrrrrrr

-Jeff

Triple H v. Reigns

This. Has. Gone. On. Too. Long. Triple H and Roman have been feud since as long I remember and Reigns has been booed so hard even ghosts feel bad for him. Cue sad trombone. I have a distinct feeling that Reigns is going to go over and the boos will Reign down. WWE should listen and have Reigns turn heel. This would at least make the boos somewhat acceptable. Reigns has worked hard and it isn’t entirely his fault that creative has butchered his push. Triple H has done all he can to help Reigns get over, it just isn’t working. With Ambrose clearly the top babyface and Rollins returning close to Summerslam most likely as a face, TURN REIGNS HEEL. Make him a reluctant heel who turned because he had no alternative. Make him run through the roster roughshod and destroy all comers. With Lesnar more than likely gone for the spring, Reigns can be the resident destroyer. This match will feature some good spots and should be entertaining. If the rumor holds that this match is now a No DQ match then expect run-ins and shenanigans. Unless creative gets cold feet, and they often do, then Reigns goes over and the boos come down.

Winner: Roman Reigns

-Joseph

Let’s just get it out of the way… Roman is going to win here. We’re all going to boo. Vince is going to freak out because the Super Bowl of wrestling is going to end with WWE fans hating it. Book it.

The story just hasn’t been told properly. And I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know. But it’s too late to change things now. Like what? What could possibly happen to make you like the ending of this match… oh, that’s right. A Roman Reigns HEEL TURN.

This is the ONLY way that WWE can get this right. It’s time. The fans hate him. There’s a new babyface in place. And it lets the Authority leave with a new villain ready to take over. I’m just wondering how they are going to do it. Best guess: the Rock somehow gets involved and Roman goes HAM and takes him out too. What better way to get what little fans that still like Roman to hate him than to destroy one of the most beloved WWE superstars of all time.

Maybe it doesn’t happen here. Maybe they wait til Raw for the turn. But one thing is for sure, Roman is walking out of Dallas with the belt around his waist.

Winner: Roman Reigns

-Jason

I’m a fan of Roman Reigns but seems to me a lot of fans just don’t want him to be the top babyface. I would love for WWE to just turn him heel since fans are booing him anyways. I just don’t know how he turns heel wrestling against HHH. All that said, I still see Roman Reigns coming out with the victory and taking back the Heavyweight Championship.

Winner: Roman Reigns

-Carlo

Like the others stated, a heel turn MUST happen. We know who is winning the match, they’ve led up to this ending of this story that is now 2 years old. Changing things now solely based on the reaction to Reigns would be a HUGE waste of an investment for the company. I think Reigns will do well as a heel, he’s proved that he can do it as a member of the Shield, now it’s time to do it as a solo act. I’ve heard the Rock may be involved in helping him turn heel or they may use the biggest baby face Dean Ambrose. Either way, it needs to be done. Roman Reigns is not the champion that the WWE universe wants, but it’s the champion they deserve. I’m gonna drive off in my Batmobile now. Da-na-na-na Na-na-na-na Ro-man!

Winner: Roman Reigns

-Jeff
